Tuesday, October 28, 2008 – I just want to be free, free, free”

I just want to be free, free, free – I just listened to Kirk Franklin’s CD with Stevie Wonder and let me tell you, it ROCKED the house down.  I sat in my car and played it twice singing to it at the top of my lungs.

Lot’s of things going on.  There is so much excitment in the air what with the elections only being six days away, the weather changing and halloween coming up.  You can just feel the buzz all around you.

Good Thought for the Day – Rock the house down, go check out Revive’s website (www.reviveband.com) and pick out a tune to down load.  I know this is a repeat, but music is a gift from God.  Whatever your mood, there is a song that hit’s the soul.  So, freshen up your play list and ROCK OUT.

God Bless

Monday, October 27, 2008 – Sunday Concert Canton, Georgia”

Hi Guys, I hope everyone had a great weekend.  I have to give a total shout out to Brandon Apon, a high school senior who spoke at a Christian concert in Canton on behalf of the “Dare To Wear Your Faith” campaign.

You won’t believe this, but he was driving down the highway when the back window blew out, “YES” blew out.  He called my Mom to say he would be late, but he made it in time.  Mom was worried about his safety, but he was so calm and confidant that he would be OK.  This is a student who is so faithful, he is one of eight brothers and sisters which is so different than me (only child).  I can’t wait to meet him.

Good Thought for the Day – This is my first year to vote and I have really been out there putting signs out and campaigning for my pick.  I will be an absentee voter for Georgia.  I feel great about voting, it makes me feel so American, so part of a great country.  I know that sounds a little apple pie, but it is so important to vote.  Each and every vote counts, along with the fact that you are now officially a grown up.

God Bless America

Saturday, October 25, 2008 -Christian Band Revive “Rocked

Boy, it has been a couple of days since I blogged.  You can always tell when I am up to my eye balls in home work.

On Wednesday, I drove into Orlando to see the Chaplin of the Dallas Cowboy’s.  He was just so inspirational, every time I go and see people give their testimony I am always just so in awe of them.  I keep praying that I will get better, it is really hard to talk in front of people.  I know people say “Oh, the Lord will help”, but I have to say, I think he wants me to really work on this.

Last night I drove with my cousins to see the Christian band Revive playing at the Longwood Baptist Church.  They have partnered with the “Dare To Wear Your Faith” campaign.  I called my Mom while they were playing and giving testimony.  Talk about a great band, they really rock it out.  I met one of their wives, and she was so cute and nice.

Good Thought for The Day – When I drove to see the Chaplin of the Cowboys, I got caught in traffic and was about 45 mins late.  I was meeting my Aunt and Uncle and was really just wired up.  I felt that I couldn’t walk into the Church until I had calmed down.  I wanted to be able to take it all in, so I called my Mom and we prayed together over the phone.  It was just a little one minute prayer, but it did the trick.  My good thought for the day is to say little prayers all through the day, just prayers of thanks.  It helps me so much.  So as the old song goes “Say a little prayer for me” I think that was a Marvin Gaye song.

Love,

Have a blessed day ya’ll

Friday, October 17, 2008 -Fun, Faithful Friday

Fun, Faithful, Friday,  Life is good, the weekend is here and I am just going to totally relax.  Crazy good news though, you know that we are partnering with the Christian band Revive, well their record company has agreed to give “The Dare To Wear Your Faith” campaign free downloads of their music and they are looking into free ring tones “OH, YES” free ring tones.  We are working on driving registration to the site and when their new CD drops they will then give us the music and tones.  Thank you Lord.

So, what are you guys up to?  Does anyone have anything really fun coming up, please let me know.   I promise I won’t be jealous, well, maybe a little “yuck, yuck”

Good Thought for the Day – Really the fact that it is Friday is a good thought.  So here we go, make plans with your friends and have a great time.  Friday night is such a great night, you still have the whole weekend left to have fun, it is like a getting a gift every week.

Please try and make Sunday service a part of that fun weekend.  That is an awesome way of ending the week.

Blessings

Chelsea.

Thursday, October 16, 2008 -New Colors on MySpace

Hi little peep’s, how do you like the new  color’s on Myspace, aren’t they cute.  My cousin Sarah made the changes, she is just AWSOME at that stuff, very creative.

Oh My Gosh!!! I forgot to tell you yesterday, remember when my mid-terms were going on and I was just totally stressed out, well I just received my grades and I made a B in History and A’s on my other tests.  YEAH, now I will say if I had to take the test again I would probably fail.  I just have no memory retention of any sort.

Great news, the Christian band Revive is on the “Dare To Wear Your Faith” website and they have given us a couple of free songs that you guys can download.  The songs will be on the site in a week.  You can send the link to all of your friends to get the free download “WE LOVE FREE”.  They are having a great time being the front band for Third Day.

Good Thought For The Day – Since Fall is here I have been going through my closet, which I am embarrased to say is HUGE, but I am taking all of the stuff I don’t wear to Must Ministries.  So when you guys go through your closets give the stuff to your local ministries.  It will help, but more importantly you will really feel good about yourself.

Blessing To All

Tuesday, October 14, 2008 -Girls, Inc.

Guys, I am going to be volunteering at Girls Inc.  This is a great organization whose main goal is to help girls with their self-esteem and work with them on building businesses and help them work towards  going to college.  They have asked me to present business cases and idea’s.

My friend Casey Skinner from the American Model show just sent me an email and he is starting his own production company.  He is also working on the fourth season of the Model show,  I sent him an email saying that here we are just  a couple of kids from Mill Springs Academy who God has blessed.

I know that God does bless those who have been given hardship.  My Mom always tells me that hardship is another layer of character.  If you have no layers you can’t have empathy or true sympathy.  Let me just say this, I have so many layers I  must be an onion “hah, hah”.  If you don’t laugh you will cry. (just going along with the onion theory).

Blessed are the weak, when you think of that saying – what does it mean to you? If you help someone out not only are you helping that person, but you are helping yourself and giving yourself layers “like that onion”.

Well, way to deep, let’s go to something frothy and fun.  I am designing some new tee’s for FCA and they are over the top cute.  The boys graphics are rock’in.

Good Thought for the Day -  When things are going really bad, you can at any time take a moment out and give it to the Lord.  Taking some quite time (5 mins) and just saying a prayer for help or happiness gives you strength.

Blessings to all,

Chelsea

Monday, October 13, 2008 -Back at School

Boy, am I glad to be back at school.  I totally loved my trip, seeing Genna and Georgie was great, but I have such good friends that it is easy to miss them. ”

It does look like I will taking off school next semester to volunteer for the FCA organization and to work on “Dare To Wear Your Faith”.  The web company just sent out the registration file and it is moving along.  The faithful are bringing their friends on board.  I really want to jazz up the site and have the ability to send out daily devotionals and Good Thoughts for the day via text to everyone’s cell and pc, then have free screen pages for use on Myspace.

Way, Way too many idea’s  and not enough time.  That is why I am really excited about being able to work on the campaign.

Good Thought for the day – One of my best friends is dating a really great guy, but as we all know “Great Guys” aren’t the ones we like the best.  So, this one is for the “Good Guys” out there.  Girls, if you are fortunate enough to tag one, don’t throw him back “yuck, yuck” listen to your friends.  We are screaming, “HE’S A GREAT GUY”

Blessings to all.

Sunday, October 12, 2008 -Exhausted

I am exhausted, I had an awesome time in LV, but the time difference, going out late to dinner and the concert just made me exhausted.  Two nights in a row we were out late.  You lose your sense of time there and don’t even realize how late it is.  I only stayed two nights, but I am done, put a fork in it and call it cooked.

I have to laugh though, here I am this young college 21 year old and I am just moaning about being tired.  I will get into Orlando late in the evening, so I will be staying at the Hyatt in the airport. “Yes” life is good.

I did miss Church this Sunday, but I always have my little devotional with me.  So when I am on the plane I will take some time to read that.

Good Thought for the Day – To stay with the theme of the day, get more sleep. I know this one is kind of silly, but you (or I) have to have a good nights sleep.  You get cranky if you are tired and who wants to be around someone like that.

Oh, I forgot to tell you that Faithful Fish will be on the homepage of Alloy.com on Oct, 13th.  How on earth could I have forgotten that (because I am so darned tired).  Check it out and let me know what you think.

God is good, God is great, God helps define who and what we are.

Friday, October 10, 2008 -Beatles “LOVE” Las Vegas

Guy’s, I am a huge Beatles fan.  My Mom and all her family were born in Liverpool, England which means of course I  grew up with the Beatles tunes playing in the background.  My one Great Aunt Ann owned a pub in Liverpool.  My little pound puppy is called “Penny Lane” after one of their great songs.  So as my BIG GIFT for my 21st birthday I was given “Love” tickets for the Cirque DeSoile in Las Vegas, Whoops!!! did I say  ”Las Vegas” Yep, I sure did.

I have to say I was a little scared and excited all at the same time.  I am meeting my best friend from kindergarden (Genna) and her brother (Georgie Jr) to celebrate both Genna and me turning 21.

Now you might ask yourself “what’s a sweet little southern Christian girl doin’ in Las Vegas”, but that is the beauty of being faithful.  We are just regular people who go out and are able to have a ton of fun, but not get trashed.  Now that is not to say that Genna and Georgie won’t because they WILL.  The good news is that they know not to give me grief about it all.  They respect who I am and know that I will still have fun and be a ton of fun.

Good Thought for the Day, accept people for who they are. When you are with your friends try and compliment the things that you love about them.  You don’t have to go over board, just say one thing.  It will make them feel good.

Say your prayers for me in Vegas, I am only there for two days so it will be fun.

Blessings to All.

Love Chelsea

Thursday, October 09, 2008 -Fields of Faith

WOW!!!!  WOW!!!!  WOW!!!!

Last night was the big night for the FCA’s “Fields of Faith” throughout the country.  Young high school kids and middle schools kids came to fields around the country and praised the Lord with joy and happiness.

My Mom went to Fellowship Christian and she shared with me that the testimonies were just over the top.   There was only one location in Gainesville, Florida, but there were many, many sites in and around Atlanta, Georgia.

Guys, I finished my mid-terms, I am going into my room and putting on a party dress to go out and have a really nice dinner to celebrate.  Now the only question I have to answer is “What shoes should I wear?” and frankly, that totally works for me.

Good Thought for the Day – I will say, easier and easier. I think you all may know that I am a tad bit shy, but lately I have made a real pact with myself to say “Hi” to everyone I walk past.  “Yes” some folks think I might be a bit weird, but it is really fun.  The only thing I have to do now is get that eye contact down.  The reason this is a good thought is that if you say “Hi” to me first I will feel better thus, MY GOOD THOUGHT FOR THE DAY is a little selfish which is why it maybe becoming easier  “yuck, yuck”|.

Blessings abound

Tuesday, October 07, 2008 – Lordy, Lordy

Hi Guys, Lordy, Lordy, I am 21 and  I can feel the collagen slipping away “yuck, yuck”

Last night was so much fun, I went to dinner with a ton of friends and they just treated me to a great night.  I kept telling them that I had to get home early because of my last mid-term.  Needless to say, I was home around 1:30.

Please say a prayer for me on my last test which is history and I am bad, really bad at remembering the dates.

Good Thought for the day – This one comes from that history mid-term.  I know I have done all of the hard work to make the grade and done the very best that I can do for that grade.  So if  you have always tried your very best, then just give it to the Lord and it takes the weight off your shoulders.

To all those college kids I WISH YOU ALL THE BEST.

Blessings

Monday, October 06, 2008 – Bitter Sweet

Hi Guys, today is my 21st birthday and I am happy and sad all at the same time.  I am in the middle of mid-terms which can make the nicest of southern girls a little sour.  Actually, I am sad about my Dad not being here for this big birthday.  I think of him every day and know he is in heaven, but I really, really miss him on my birthday.  Really, I miss him the most when little things come up, air in my tires (Mom doesn’t know that) watching the Gator’s score a touchdown.  Both Uncle Rusty and my Dad loved and I mean loved the Gators.  That’s one of the reasons I watch football.

My Mom was chair volunteer for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Tennis Mixer, fundraiser in Marietta today and we had talked about her not coming.  I was totally fine with it until last night.  Then I realized I was turning 21 and didn’t have my family with me.  I love my family, God gave me the best family that one could ever ask for.

Good Thought for the day – Today this one is easy, call your parents, hug your parents, love your parents.

It’s a commandment to obey them, but it’s God’s gift to love them.

Have a blessed evening, I am off for cake  (Whoops!!! supposed to be a surprise)
