Wednesday, Mar ch 22, 2009 – Ignite Your Faith

Guys, my friends were in town from school this weekend and I spent the night at my best friend Taylor’s house so I didn’t read my mail on Saturday.  I went straight to church this morning and when I got back to the house I finally sat down and took a look at the mail.

BLESSINGS ABOUND  “Ignite Your Faith” featured a whole page, “YES” a whole page on Faithful Fish.  I am so jazzed and people are already emailing me and sending me myspace invites.  The writer was just great and she really got me and I am just so happy.

I just want to be able to make this company so big that I can give away so much money that it will change lives.  Kids need to be given the gift of knowing the Lord and my prayers are that Faithful Fish will be that profit line for those ministires.

GOOD THOUGHT FOR THE DAY – You know it is interesting how hard this one can be for me,  Since Sunday is the Lord’s day of rest go ahead and sit on the couch, play with your friends or kids.

Have a blessed  day.

Saturday March 21, 2009 – Finally the Weekend

Boy, the weekend is finally here.  The weather is awesome here in Atlanta and I am about to go out and walk my dog for a while.

I don’t know about all of you, but I am so sick of hearing all of the bad news and it is just getting me down.  You know there really is good stuff going on, even though I am so very sad for everyone who isn’t working, 90% are working and we need to help those who aren’t working out. Churches are becoming even more full because we all go home when we are scared and we need to feel safe.  Why don’t we try and only talk about the good stuff.  Say something nice about someone, share a great story.  They say things only start with one person so let’s be that one person.

God wants us to be joyous and it is up to us to personally try to do that.

GOOD THOUGHT FOR THE DAY – Only say good things today and don’t watch any of the news.

God Bless Everyone

Thursday, March 19, 2009  – New Friend Today

Hi Guys, I was introduced to a great new person today named Susan Conley.  Susan is just launching her new company “weROCK, Inc.  Whoops!!! I read her summary and was just in awe.  We both think the same way about our faith.  There is a big launch luncheon on Tuesday and I am looking forward to going to the event.

I took my Cameron Johnson course today.  I listened to one of his conference calls, the guy is a genius and is just so normal and did I say good looking.  He is someone that everyone should pay close attention to.

GOOD THOUGHT FOR THE DAY -  Well the water is out at my house today and tomorrow and you just don’t realize how much you use water (bathroom, brush teeth, cook etc….)  I went to the store and bought some water bottles (big ones). Imagine if we lived in a place where you can’t turn on a tap?  We are blessed and sometimes just don’t realize it.  So good thought for the day, try and save water in your house.  When you brush your teeth turn the water off while brushing, do little things, let’s save the world

Have a blessed day

Monday, March 16, 2009 – Driving Down to Amelia Island

My Aunt and I drove down to Amelia Island today for a funeral.  My poor Mom was going to go, but she got that crazy flu.  Mary Hillyer and I are going to dinner with all of my Aunt Patty’s friends and I just want the whole dinner to be about her.

The funeral is in the morning and then we will drive back to Atlanta.  I have a business meeting at 8:00 on Wednesday and can’t miss it.

GOOD THOUGHT FOR THE DAY – Tough one today, but the weather is great here in Florida and the beach looks so pretty.  Even if you are up to your hips in snow just look out and see the beauty of the day, the Earth.  Sounds corney I know, you know I am corney.  But try it.

God Bless

Sunday, March 15, 2009 – Prom Drama

My cousin and her friends went to prom this weekend.  Cracked me up, because you might have thought that the way my Aunt and her friends were acting you would have thought they were going to prom.

Katie started crying, Paige wouldn’t wear her dress and Aunt Karen had to get a new one and those were just a few of the highlights.  I will say that at the end of the drama the girls looked beautiful and their dates were so cute and nice.  I loved all of the parents taking pictures.  It is at times like this when I miss my Dad.  I remember him not being there for my prom, but my mom and Aunt Karen were there.

I called Paige up on Sunday aftermoon and she said she had a great time.

GOOD THOUGHT FOR THE DAY - This one is to stay on subject , let the drama go.  Lighten up, if not for you, for others.  Your day will be better.
Have a blessed week all.

Wednesday, March 11, 2009 – Sad Day Today

It is a sad day today.  My Aunt Patty’s (not my real Aunt) Mom passed away today.  I am so sad for her, I know what it is like to lose a parent.  I am keeping her in my thoughts and prayers today. She needs us to be there for her now more than ever.

Oh my gosh though, I keep thinking about the big Mega Book event that I will be speaking at in June right in Disney World.  What a dream come true, I grew up in Orlando and went to Disney all of the time and now here I am going to be speaking there (who would have thunk “ha, ha”.
One of the students at Mill Springs Academy (where I went to high school) asked  me to answer a couple of questions for her school paper.  It was so cute that she asked me.  They were great questions and I am keeping my fingers crossed that she get’s an A.  Wouldn’t it be terrible if she failed based on my answers.
GOOD THOUGHT FOR THE DAY – I have said this one before, but with my Aunt Patty’s Mom dying I had to say it again.  Hug all those that you love, if you haven’t talked to a friend for a while give them a quick call and tell them you were thinking of them.  Write a note to an older person, it would make them so happy.
God Bless

Just another day

Hi Guys, just another day.  The weather is awesome here in Atlanta, I even thought about putting the air on (can you imagine?).  I worked most of the day and had a conference call with Mark Victor Hansen’s group.  There is just a ton  of stuff going on.  Kent Healy sent me the rough draft for my part of the new Chicken Soup for the Soul book and I made some revisions.

Guys, I don’t think I can watch the TV anymore, especially the news.  It is just so depressing. But remember, God has a plan for all of us. We have to be patient..he will reveal it when he is ready!

GOOD NEWS FOR THE DAY:  Don’t watch the money channels.  It won’t make a difference.  Watch I Love Lucy, read a book (from the library) read a couple of passages from your favorite part of the bible.  Heck, just read a People magazine.

Have a blessed evening.

Luv,

Chelsea

What a weekend

What a great weekend.  As you all know I am a fashion hound and I was blessed on Saturday to meet Tim Gunn from Project Runway! He talked about style and accessories.  The VP of Liz Claiborne introduced me to him and we talked about Faithful Fish.  He was just as nice as he is in the show and gave me some great advise.

Saturday evening we went to dinner at my Aunt Karen’s and planned out our Paris trip.  My Uncle Andrew, the intellect in the family, had us visiting every museum around, I finally had to say “Wait a minute, this is not a study abroad program”! We did make him laugh.  I told him I wanted to look at design houses and go to the beautiful churches.

Service this morning was so thoughtful.  My minister talked about what do you build your life around (money, fame, gossip, etc…)  It made me think about what I have to work on.  My biggest issue is being selfish, I am not selfish in giving or praying for the best for all of my friends, but selfish in always wanting it my way.  I’m an only child which I have used as the reason for my behavior, but it is wrong.  I am truly going to work on this.

GOOD THOUGHT FOR THE DAY  – Think of how you would like to be better and pick one thing that you will make an effort to change.  How great will we feel when we all help ourselves become better.

Pray for our country.

Great Start to the Day

Hi Guys, I got up early this morning and went to Dodgen Middle School to help with their morning FCA huddle.  It cracks me up, here I am only 21, but I am looking at these middle schoolers thinking “I am old”.  We played games and finished in prayer. Now that is the way to start a great day.

I worked all day on Faithful Fish, Easter orders are coming in and we actually ran out of hats (bad inventory process).  Anyway, the day went so fast.

I am working out tonight with a trainer “A girls gotta look good” and then I am going to come home and crash.

Good Thought for the Day -  How you start your day seems to be how your whole day will be.  So, guys before you get out of bed take a moment and thank God for your blessings and then say to yourself  “It is going to be A GREAT DAY”.  I know it sounds corny, but my Mom started me doing this years ago and it really helps.

Have a blessed evening and have a ton of fun.

OH MY GOSH!!! What a trip, it was just so overwhelming IN A GOOD WAY.

Even though I met amazing people who were authors and inspirational speakers I will have to say the people at Trader Joe’s were the best.  Now you might say “WHAT”.  Saturday evening we decided to go to the beach for dinner.  I went with my Mom , Martina Butler and her Dad.  It was about 6:00 and all of a sudden Martina screamed and we were hit broadside by a truck.  We were OK, but I had a huge goose egg on my head and had a cut.

I was sitting on the side of the road and all of a sudden this young guy shows up with some Trader Joe’s frozen pea’s for my head (so sweet).  Then another Trader Joe’s guy shows up with water and juice.  The accident was by the store and they came to my rescue.  The paramedic’s said I had to go to the hospital in an ambulance so the Trader Joe’s guys gave my Mom snacks for the wait.  They were just so nice.  I had to have an MRI and a CAT scan, but they let me go.  My neck still hurts a bunch and my eye is black, but I am OK (God is good).
I was in LA to speak at Mr. Mark Victor Hansen’s Mega Book event.  I was very nervous, but Mr. Hansen really made me feel comfortable.  It was just great to be able to share with everyone the story of how my faith helped me through my losses.

OK, last summer I was trying to be positive and writing a good thought for the day and I think it is high time for me to start back up.

So here we go - everyone is tense and worried about jobs and money so take a moment out turn off the TV and throw on a good tune.  Crank up the Ipod and sing on the top of your lungs.

God Bless you all.
