The Faithful Fish Bowl-January 2010
January 26, 2010
Some great things are really starting to happen with Wear it Wednesday. Keep coming back for updates. I’m so excited – I’ve made a new Christian friend! Ya’ll should take a look at her blog and daily devotions – www. devotionaldiva.com. I will be seeing her in a few weeks at the “Student Leadership Conference” in Orlando . Today at school was crazy; more drama-got to love life. So glad I got to turn in my YO-YO paper J. I’m glad to say that the weekend is right around the corner! One of my favorite Bible verses.
Return to the Lord your God, for He is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness; and He relents from doing harm. —Joel 2:13

I know it has been awhile since I’ve blogged. We have had many wonderful things going on and with working and getting through my senior year at Beacon College, there is only so much time! But first – Happy New Year to everyone! Second, thank you to all you for another successful year for Faithful fish. With your help, we have been able to donate funds to Fellowship of Christian Athletes. We have lots of exciting news for 2010 so look for a huge announcement coming towards the end of the first quarter! I wanted to share a story with you that shows that we can all make a difference – one person at a time.
I was at a friend’s party over the weekend and everyone was having an awesome time. I was with a few of my friends standing outside and talking when faith came into our conversation. We were talking about what it mean to be faithful to us and how we feel about the Lord. I’m thinking to myself–this is amazing. I’m at a college party and we are talking about faith and the Lord–alright!!
We all went and sat down at a table and began to get in to the conversation a little bit more. Then one of my friends turned to me and started to ask me some personal questions about faith and really what it means for me. I told him how I felt about how it and how made me feel. Then he looked at me and said, “I have never believed in anything but for the past few months I have been doing a lot of thinking about my faith and what I really want to do.”
He said to me that he wants to become more faithful and look into the Lord and see what the Lord will mean to him. My friend also said that he was going to do some research about the Christian faith and how to start becoming a Christian. That whole time it touched my heart knowing that the Lord will have one more follower and I know that my friend is going to be having a wonderful blessed life!
